Welcome to JoSAA College Predictor ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to safeguarding candidate confidentiality and personal data. This privacy statement articulates how information is processed across josaacollegepredictor.vercel.app when you utilize our prediction calculators, cutoff databases, and advisory resources.
2. Information Collection & Zero-Persistence Policy
When utilizing the prediction engine, you supply non-identifiable parameters including rank numbers, reservation categories (e.g. OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, ST), quota preference (AI, HS, OS), and gender classification. These calculations are evaluated transiently in-memory and are never stored in tracking databases, sold to marketing aggregators, or linked to individual identities.
Standard HTTP transport metadata (user agent class, approximate geographic latency, error codes) is captured automatically by our serverless hosting layer to sustain low-latency edge delivery, monitor uptime, and mitigate malicious automated attacks.
3. Purpose of Algorithmic Processing
We process candidate inputs strictly for the following functional purposes:
- Delivering instant admission probability estimations across 128 premier engineering institutions.
- Generating filtered preference shortlists available for CSV download.
- Preserving computational integrity and preventing Denial of Service (DDoS) disruptions.
- Addressing technical bug tickets submitted through our user support desk.
4. Security Architecture & Encryption
We enforce modern HTTPS/TLS 1.3 encryption across all communication pathways, paired with strict Content Security Policies (CSP) and isolated serverless runtime environments. Query parameters entered into the prediction console are discarded immediately upon completion of your active browser session.
