NIT Karnataka (commonly called NIT Surathkal or NITK) is ranked among India's top 10 engineering colleges and top 3 NITs. Located on a beautiful beachside campus in Surathkal near Mangalore, it was established in 1960 as Karnataka Regional Engineering College. Known for its strong CS and IT programs, NITK has a wonderful campus overlooking the Arabian Sea and has produced numerous tech leaders and entrepreneurs.
